Good Morning Year 3!
I thought I would enlighten you with this today. As I said yesterday I have had my cat honey since I was 8 years old. I have managed to find a picture of me to show you of when I first got her.
Here’s also a lovely update from Miss Chorley.. having lots of fun in the sun!!!
1. The Daily Five - Maths
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/
The link is above if you would like to refer to Summer Term - Week 4 - Lesson 1, if not you can go straight onto the sheet attached below the daily 5. Today you are multiplying by 8.
Remember your grouping methods again! 3 x 8 would be 3 groups of 8 objects and then counting how many objects you have all together!
Questions 6 and 7 are the challenges on here today! Complete what you can! :)
2. The Daily Five - Literacy
https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/english-ks1--ks2-episode3-carries-war/zfgchbk
Episode 3 today! Instead of using the worksheets on BBC, I would like you to do something slightly different. I would like you to pick a certain point of the episode, choose 3 characters from this episode and draw them on a piece of paper or in your books. Above each drawing of your characters, I would like you to write a speech bubble showing what they might say at this point or how they are feeling.
3. The Daily Five - Outside Time
Complete some exercise of your choice!
Go outside and find a leaf/some leaves. Paint them and then print them onto some paper. What patterns do you get?
4. The Daily Five - Project
Today you are going to be drawing from a birds eye view. This is where you pretend you are a bird flying over, what would you see? Please could you do a birds eye view of your garden. However, in your garden I would like you to also show where your vegetable patch would go if you had one!
Below is an example of a drawing from a birds eye view.
5. The Daily Five - Reading
Read a book of your choice and note this down in your reading log.
