Thursday 2nd April

1. The Daily Five - Maths

Foxes Group - we have learnt how to count in 2s to 10 (and beyond for some children). Using 2p coins, count how much money you have. Over the Easter holidays, you could extend this by playing shops; attach price labels to toys (1p - 20p) and pay using 2p coins.

3. The Daily Five - Outside Time

Following on from yesterday's measuring length activity, collect different length sticks and put them in order from shortest to tallest. Remember to start them 'fairly'!

4. The Daily Five - Project

Following on from our portrait drawing, your child can have another go trying to make their artwork even better and more detailed! This time, draw a member of your family on A4 paper.

5. The Daily Five - Reading / phonics

After reading one of the phonics reading books (from Oxford Owls EBooks), discuss an alternative ending to the story. As many ideas as possible! Some children really struggle with this, so keep practising this skill.
