Today it would be great if you found a few items and you put price on them (not more than 40p each) then have a go at Playing shopkeepers when the video tells you to. Then carry one working through today’s teaching.

2. The Daily Three- Literacy
Today please answer the questions from Chapter 6 and 7: ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark’.
There is a set of questions for each group: Pink Group, Red Group and Yellow and Blue Group (at the bottom of the page)

Pine and Maple group: The next sound we will be practicing again are the: ‘’ double letters which only make one sound but need to remember to use them in our spelling. Holly Group: This week's sound is ‘ew’ as in brew or ‘ue’ as in Tuesday.
Watch Mr Thorne does phonics with Geraldine for both sounds and choose the words from each to practice 3 times:
This week we are going to practice the spelling of words ending in ness which end in ‘y’ because the spelling then changes to an ‘i’ before the suffix.

3. The Daily Three – Creative Art and poetry
This week we are going to see if we can be creative and do some art as well as shape poetry all about owls and trees.
Today we are going to make an owl picture using scraps of paper. Have a good look at the type of owl you are going to choose!
You will need a piece of paper, scraps of paper (You can use any type of paper from: magazines, newspapers, old wrapping paper or whatever you find at home) and some scissors and glue.
You might then draw an owl with outstretched wings or sitting in a tree.
