Monday 8th June

1. The Daily Three - Maths

Start the maths with a quick run through of your homemade flashcards from last week, either using them as flashcards or ordering them. Do this activity everyday this week.

Roll two number dice (or use this online dice if you don't have any). Collect natural objects (leafs, flowers and sticks) to match the numerals and add together. Next in your green writing books, draw the maths - draw circles to represent set of objects. If you wanted to extend this activity, they could write the "number sentence" next to each one (they will need support with this).

2. The Daily Three - Literacy / phonics

Reread 'The Hungry Caterpillar' (click here to access the story), encouraging your child to join in and anticipate what he eats on each day. Have a look at the chrysalis' on Class Dojo. What has happened now?

3. The Daily Three - Creative

Recap on patterns, "it repeats itself". Collect three different items outside e.g. leaves, flowers. Using ribbon and a needle, thread the items onto the ribbon to make a patterned natural necklace.

Take a photo and we will share on Class Dojo!
