Good Morning everyone!
This week will be slightly different for home learning, because this week is
Virtual Sports Day week!
I will still be putting up some learning activities for you to do each day but the main activity each day will be one of the events in the Sports Day.
You will need to watch the videos for each event as well as the introductory video and practise the event before doing it for real!
Have fun and enjoy!
I have also created a seperate page for the whole week about "Airships"
There are 4 projects on it that you may like to do. You can do as many or as few as you like from that page!
p.s. Keep sending in your video memories and Leaver's song memories! I need all of these this week!
SPORTS WEEK
FIRST learn how you are going to measure your distances
WATCH THIS FIRST BEFORE YOU DO ANY EVENT : Introduction video giving you basic information on how the event will run and how to measure yourself.
Have 3 goes at this event and record all scores on your score sheet, then put your best score at the end!
SPRINT for 30 seconds
Distance – 3 x Height – Heel-to-toe measure and multiply by 3
Place a cone/marker at each end.
Start at one end and on “Go” start to sprint to the opposite cone/marker – count ONLY when you REACH the opposite marker from where you started not every cone/marker. Reaching means your foot breaks the line where the cone/marker is placed. On the final sprint when time is running out you may run past the cone/marker to get that point.
At the end of the 30 secs – write down the score for opposite cone/marker REACHED. Not nearly touched.
Maths
Interpret charts
Be careful when answering these questions to make sure you look at the scale on the graph.. Is it counting in 1s? 2s? 10s? Getting the scale wrong could mean you get the answers wrong.
