Monday 29th June

Good Morning Year 3! Are you excited for your virtual sports week? What did you do this weekend?

On Saturday my sister found this moth outside out house! It’s quite fluffy!

Yesterday I went on a very breezy walk and saw some cute baby ducklings and a swan family!
I hope you have fun today!! Just a reminder that if you didn’t say a special memory from year 3 during our phone call could you please send it on dojo today! :)

Most of you may find this quite easy as we have practised this a lot this year, but for today you are going to look at "drawing accurately" with a ruler. Have a watch of the video "lesson 1 - drawing accurately" on the link below and then have a go at the worksheet. Questions 7 and 8 are the more challenging ones today! :)

Virtual Sports Day

Event 1 – Sprint – cone to cone – 30 sec

Video Demonstration:

Distance – 3 x Height – Heel-to-toe measure and multiply by 3

Place a cone/marker at each end.

Start at one end and on “Go” start to sprint to the opposite cone/marker – count ONLY when you REACH the opposite marker from where you started not every cone/marker. Reaching means your foot breaks the line where the cone/marker is placed. On the final sprint when time is running out you may run past the cone/marker to get that point.

At the end of the 30 secs – write down the score for opposite cone/marker REACHED. Not nearly touched.
