Steps to follow are below:

The books then come up in bands but we have put the matching phases, everyone should have their phase on their card with all their log ins on.

Oxford Reading Owl (another online reading resource)

Once you have logged onto Oxford Reading Owl, go onto levels and select the phase that is on your sticker card in your packs.

Make sure to log down everything you have read onto your reading log, or make a new one if you have run out of space! Happy reading :)

Mental Maths - NUMBOTS:

This week I am setting you a challenge:  Have a go at moving up a level this week.  Remember to have your user name and password ready.  It is in home school pack and in the cover of your blue Home School book.

TIME:  We are going to use a powerpoint presentation to practice telling the time:  o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to.  There are 4 quarters which make the whole hour of 60 minutes.

Once you have worked through the Time Powerpoint then complete the worksheet only the one for your group:  Circle Group or Star Group or Square Group or Triangle Group.

2. The Daily Three- Literacy

TODAY'S Phonics:

Pine and Maple group:  The next sound we will be practicing again is the: ‘’ sh”sound.  Click on the link to see how Mr Thorne does Phonics watch the video all the way through.

Then watch it again pausing so that you can write words in your books.  There are lots this week just choose ten of them.  Practice each word 3 times

Holly Group: This week's sound is ‘i’ as in rind or ‘i’ as in ring.  Attached are some sentences I would like you to circle each ‘i’ word then say the sentence out loud.

Oak Group:

This week we are using our phonics poems to learn the spelling of the end of ‘al’ words.  Today you are going to do poem called “Animal City“.  Read through the poem once then read it again drawing a circle around each ‘al’ word.  Then choose five words and practice them three times.

I would love you to learn the poem and send me a video of you saying the poem on Class Dojo.

Writing Today:

We are continuing to write about a super hero today.  Traction Man has changed to Fraction Man but today you are going to make up your own super hero and plan three ways your super hero can save the characters that he or she finds at school.

Then use the boxing up sheet to plan your story:

Find the Attached documents at the bottom of the page.

3.  The Daily Three – Topic

In your workbook draw and name your own super hero character.  Then also draw the characters for each adventure:  Yellow and Blue groups – 3 adventures and Red and Pink groups – 2 adventures.
