1. The Daily Five - Maths

Mental Maths:  Right let’s get started.  First we are going to practice our times tables.  Most of us should know our 2 and 10 times table so please practice 5 and 3 times tables.  Using the link - https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button  press on the Timetables button and practice your tables to 12.  If you are not sure of the answer.  Use your arrays (peapods) to show your working out in your workbook.

White Rose Maths:  Today we are learning about finding a third of shape.  Be ready by having a piece of paper cut into a square (use your ruler to make sure all the sides are of equal length) and the plasticine or playdough you made yesterday.

Listen and watch the story again but this time we are looking for rhyming words.  In your writing book write the name of a sea creature and write the rhyming words for each one:

Like this - Angel Fish:  sea   me             Jellyfish:  dumb and fun

You will notice that these sound the same but are spelt differently these words are called homophones.  Look at the rest of the pages and choose 4 more creatures finding the rhyming words.
