Good Morning from Miss Eggby! I hope you are all well. Here are some photos of me playing my favourite game yesterday to keep myself busy. It is called Bananagrams. The first person to use all the letters to make an anagram wins! (I won!)
Have a great day and enjoy your daily 5!
Watch 'lesson 2 - making the whole' up to 2 minutes and 26 seconds (it will tell you on the video to pause). https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/ Then complete the questions I have put below.
Main learning points from the video:
When the numerator (top number) and denominator (bottom number) are the same, then you have a whole which is equal to 1.
To get a whole, you have to add your numerators (top numbers) until it is the same as the denominator (bottom number).
You can just write the answers in your books or print this off and fill it in.
Complete your diary entry for today.
Go and find some sticks and 2 different types of counters (these could be leaves, stones etc.) Play outside naughts and crosses with someone using these.
Either print off this template or draw a window on a piece of paper. Draw what you can see outside this window. You could be really creative with this, you could draw exactly what is outside your window at home, or you could draw your dream place outside your window. The choice is all yours!
Read a book (or part of a book) from home or from Oxford Reading Owl and log it onto your reading log.
