Mental Maths

Please complete 10 minutes of TT Rockstars.



Today you are measuring perimeter. We were so close to covering this in school before we broke up, so this word might be a little bit new to you. It's quite easy though, perimeter means the space outside of the shape. That probably seems confusing! But once I tell you how to work it out.. hopefully you'll find it easier! 

To measure perimeter, you add up the lengths of each side on a shape. For example:


And that's it! The perimeter on that shape would be 20cm!

You probably know what is coming next... but it is events 3 and 4! So make sure you have your plans out in front of you. What is going to happen next on your jungle journey? Make it as creative as you like.

Remember, you could follow this structure, which is only 4 sentences long per paragraph.

fronted adverbials (describing when) - next, then, after that etc.
