Good morning from Mrs Gibb! Here are today's Daily Five:

 

1. The Daily Five - Maths

Mental Maths:  Log on to NUMBOTs website the log in is in your pack. Spend 10 minutes doing the activities.

Main:  Continue working on timestables:

Using the link HIT THE BUTTON https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button  press on the Halves button.  If you are not sure of the answer.  Use two arrays (peapods) to share your number to find half working out in your workbook.

 

 

 

2. The Daily Five - Literacy

Daily Phonics:

Pine and Maple group:  Then using the set of 'ay' words from your set of green cards write each word 5 sentences. 

Holly Group:   Then using the set of 'igh' words from your set of green cards write 5 sentences using the words

Oak Group: Continue to use the worksheet from yesterday using suffixes: Please work on these using the PDF below.

Writing:

Complete your story map and then write your story from the point of view of the villain or good character using your toolkit to help you.

 

3. The Daily Five - Outside Time

We are going to make a record of different materials we find when we go outside and look around the garden: Today go outside and collect different leaves.  We are going to press them by laying them out on some kitchen towel and then cover them another layer of kitchen towel and leave under a heavy weight like a book for 5 days.

 

 

 

4. The Daily Five - Project

Writing instructions in your work book: How to Plant a Bean Seed. Use numbers to order the instructions and time words to sequence them.  

 

 

 

5. The Daily Five - Reading

Continue to read every day - follow the instructions to log onto Oxford Owls.  Please continue to keep a record log which is in your home learning pack.
