2. The Daily Five - Literacy
Pine and Maple group:
If you did not finish writing the words from yesterday 3 times each, please do so.
Now write 4 sentences using the words. (remember to use capital letters, adjectives and full stops, question marks or exclamation marks)
Now write 5 of each word 3 times and write 2 sentences for each of the two different spellings of ‘aw’ and ‘or’.
Today you are going to do the first poem called “Derek the Squirrel”. Read through the poem once then read it again drawing a circle around each ‘el’ word. Then choose five words and practice them three times.
I would love you to learn the poem and send me a video of you saying the poem on Class Dojo.
3.The Daily Five - Exercise and Outside Time
Have another go today, at seeing how many times you can: hop on one foot and then the other, skip around the house or using a skipping rope, and do push ups. Can you do more than yesterday?
4. The Daily Five – Project
Sense of Touch: Watch the Bitesize clip:
The sense of touch is what you feel through your skin: rough, smooth, cold, hot, prickly, wet, dry, and so on.
Now complete the worksheet drawing pictures about all 5 senses.
(At the bottom of the page)
5. The Daily Five - Reading and writing
Now you are going to have a go at writing the story using the story map rather than copying the story out from yesterday.
YOU CAN DO IT! Don’t rush take two days to write it.
Here is the story map, Practice saying it then writing it line by line. Remember to show paragraphs between each adventure. Have a go at using speech marks so show when the characters are talking.
OF COURSE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM ON CLASS DOJO!
