Thursday 18th June

1. Maths

Please complete the forth maths lesson from this week, 'make equal groups (grouping)'. On the website you will find a video tutorial and under today's resources you will find the worksheet.

Let the children watch the video, then they can either complete the worksheet independently if you are able to print it off, or in discussion with an adult talking through the answers when viewing on the screen.

2. Literacy

This task will be split into two halves - to be done over today and tomorrow.

Please can the children use their original story board of the super worm story to help them plan their own super hero story - with their new characters, on the provided story map.

REMEMBER - The structure of the story can stay roughly the same but we change the characters to make it our own. Stories always need a beginning, where we meet the character and the setting. A middle, where the main character faces a problem (in this case your character being taken by your evil villan character). Finally, we see a happy ending where the problem is resolved and your character is saved by his friends!

Complete the first 3 boxes today, and the rest tomorrow.

3. Topic

African Mammal Art - see examples under 'todays resources'.

Paint a sunset background in strips of sunset colours. Use colouring pencils if you don't have paint.
Draw your safari mammals and acacia trees on black paper and cut them out carefully. Use stencils or draw around a picture of an animal you have prited out and cut around.
Cut out a setting sun using yellow tissue paper.
Cut out a grassy foreground using black paper.
Arrange your paper cut-outs on your sunset background and glue down.
