Siams

All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.

SIAMS inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it.

In 2018 the SIAMS inspection judged Weare Academy Church Of England First School to be ‘Outstanding’ commenting, “The school motto, ‘All Can Achieve’, demonstrates the school’s commitment to an inclusive education for every child. This is achieved through a rich experience of the school’s core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, thankfulness, responsibility, kindness and compassion….The rich engagement that the school community has with the values is clearly evident around the building. There is a strong positive culture of care and nurture, with each child regarded as special and individual”.

In 2013, the SIAMS inspection judged Weare Academy Church of England First School to be ‘Outstanding’ commenting, “There is a strong commitment to the development of the whole child within the context and environment of an extremely supportive school community. The school’s inclusive and friendly ethos ensures that children make excellent progress both academically and in their personal development.”
