Pudsey promotes maths! - 15 November 2013

Pudsey was popping up all over the place today, thanks to bears decorated beautifully by the pupils, for Children in Need. The children participated in the event with enthusiasm; Pudsey ears, hair clips, t-shirts, face-painting and bears could be seen in abundance!

Pudsey also promoted 'Maths in Context' in Year 4: the children had the job of counting all the money collected by each year group. They then had to record this in a frequency table and then represent it in a bar chart. This encouraged application of data handling skills that the children have been developing this week, by providing a 'real' context for using the skills they have learnt.

Donations were collected by School Council representatives in specially decorated boxes, before school this morning. The grand total raised was £147.37.

Thank you for all your help and kind contributions!
