Year 4 have just returned from Kilve, which to quote some of the children, was 'epic'! The children thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, and enthusiastically embraced the opportunities given to them.
After our arrival and lunch on Monday, we went on a Quantock Walk and did some shelter building. One group even made a 'courtyard' from stones they gathered! Following this, we returned to Kilve for dinner and some activities in the large maze on site.
Tuesday was our busy activity day with grass sledging, climbing wall and the fantasy trail. Also, we did the 'low ropes' course for the first time. This involved a minimum of 5 super team-building activities with problem-solving challenges and lots of fun alongside. In the evening we went for a walk through the local scenic countryside.
On Wednesday, we all walked to the beach and hunted for fossils, finishing off the morning with an ice cream before heading back to Kilve for lunch and farewells.
It was a jam-packed three days of fun and adventure, and we hope all of the children have come away with some superb memories. Please enjoy the photos!
