Friday 3rd April

1. The Daily Five - Maths

Complete one of the addition worksheets from your Home Learning pack. I rarely use worksheets in Reception Class, so this will be a treat for the children!

2. The Daily Five - Literacy

We have done a lot of work on writing lists, "a list goes down the page". Look in your fruit and vegetable drawers/bowls. What fruit or vegetables would you like?

Foxes Group - Write a shopping list in your writing books.

Rabbits Group - Draw a shopping list in your writing books, attempting labels with as many sounds as possible. This might just be the initial letter.

3. The Daily Five - Outside Time

Combining the work of patterns and measurement, make a stick pattern e.g. short, long, short, long. This could be made more challenging by making a three-pattern e.g. short, short, long, short, short, long. The adult could make a pattern, giving an opportunity for your child to work out what the pattern is and then try to complete it.

4. The Daily Five - Project

Finishing our work on portraits, use other materials to make a portrait. It could be paint, scrap materials, torn newspaper. In the 'resources' section below, you will find some examples.

5. The Daily Five - Reading / phonics

Similar to the toy list game last week, write a list of food. Your child can race to find the item in the kitchen and match with the correct word. Rabbits Group will rely on reading the initial letter and guessing the word - this is fine and one of the first steps to reading.
