After revising our 5 times table we are now going to learn about how to tell the time. You have already learnt about o’clock and half past but we do need to look at quarter past and quarter to.
First you could make yourself a clock and fold it into half and then half again and colour each quarter a different colour. Then you can add in the numbers. Then cut out a longer minute hand and a shorter hour hand and label them. If you have a paper clip or split pin attach the hands so they can turn. You can use this to practice showing different times.
NOW have a look at the time learning Starting Time in Year 2. Then have a go at using the learning clock on this link (using o’clock, half past and then quarter past and quarter to) https://www.topmarks.co.uk/time/teaching-clock
Now complete at least two of the worksheets: Telling the time at the bottom of the page.
