1. The Daily Five - Maths

First: Numbots mental maths practice today. I have just checked and most of you have scored lots of coins.  Keep it up, well done!

Secondly:  This week we are looking at fractions.  Maths Rose Hub has a set of lessons.  

Using the link go to Week 1 Lesson 3 - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/   Watch the power point and have a go at answering the questions. If you are not sure of the answer there is a set of answers for you to check at the end. 

 

2. The Daily Five - Literacy

Daily Phonics:

Pine and Maple group:  Logon to Espresso using the student login and password (in your home learning pack).  Once you have logged on: click on Key Stage 1 - English - Phonics - Ash's phonics oy sounds.  Watch the video and then complete the activities.

 

Holly Group:  Logon to Espresso using the student login and password (in your home learning pack).  Once you have logged on: click on Key Stage 1 - English - Phonics - Ash's phonics ir sounds.  Watch the video and then complete the activities.

 

Oak Group: Choose one activity to do for each day from today to Friday.

Attached at the bottom of this page is a great worksheet of activities you can choose to do.  Remember when we add a suffix to a word ending in a silent 'e' we drop it and then add the suffix.  If you cannot print the worksheet do all the writing in your workbook.

Writing:

4. The Daily Five - Project

Easter Basket Activity:

Now that your eggs are dry cut them out carefully.  You can then make your Easter Basket either by just drawing one, cutting it out and sticking your eggs on.  Or painting your basket or cutting strips of paper and weaving them into a basket.  Look at the document: Easter Baskets.  PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO OF YOUR FINISHED BASKET so we can put it on our webpage.

 

5. The Daily Five - Reading and Reading Comprehension

Please read every day - follow the instructions to log onto Oxford Owls.  Please continue to keep a record of how many you have read using the card in your home reader folder.
