All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society's framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.

SIAMS inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it. In 2013, the SIAMS inspection team deemed Weare Academy Church of England First School 'outstanding' commenting, "There is a strong commitment to the development of the whole child within the context and environment of an extremely supportive school community. The school’s inclusive and friendly ethos ensures that children make excellent progress both academically and in their personal development."
